This Blog is born out of a commitment to express my creativity and encourage my own daughter, Zuri to do the same. After the untimely passing of my mother last year, I decided that I would explore my own creative genius in tribute to my mom, Linda Dean. She was the most creative person I know. Over the years she opened several craft boutiques, sewed, crafted, thrifted and at the time of her passing she was teaching crafting to senior citizens. As I visited the centers where she volunteered and cleaned out her apartment, it was very apparent to me. My mom loved creative expression through crafts. Mom and her best friend, Ms Lorraine, were always making crafts, doing yard sales and going to thrift shops. She found her passion in her creativity. So I have started doing projects from Pinterest with my daughter. The process has been surprisingly very healing. Missing MaMa, my favorite girl.
